“Portsmouth is a wonderful city, a unique place with a great future. Yet our politicians do nothing but talk it down and try to make it just like everywhere else. Portsmouth deserves better.” We need a fairer society. Inequality in education, housing and jobs are everywhere in this city, and it’s getting worse. Greens want a new deal for ordinary people – new green jobs, free school meals and education for everyone, a citizen pension at the proper level. Our society is rich. Look around you. We can afford a more equal, fairer society and one that plans sensibly for the future, but we need to change our politicians.”
